Working Principle of Railway Shot Blasting Equipment

Railway Shot Blasting Equipment is specifically engineered for surface preparation and cleaning of railway components such as wheelsets, bogies, axles, couplers, brake components, rail sections, and fabricated railway structures. The system removes rust, mill scale, old paint, welding slag, and other surface contaminants before painting, coating, inspection, or maintenance.

Components are positioned inside the blasting chamber manually or through automated handling systems depending on the production requirement. High-performance centrifugal blast wheels propel steel shots at controlled velocities from multiple angles, ensuring complete and uniform cleaning of complex railway parts while maintaining dimensional accuracy.

After blasting, the abrasive media is collected through screw conveyors, lifted by a bucket elevator, cleaned using an air-wash separator, and continuously recycled for reuse. An integrated pulse-jet dust collection system captures airborne dust and contaminants, providing a cleaner working environment, consistent blasting quality, and reduced operating costs.
